Something is wrong in the app
Write to hello@mysupplyshelf.com and say what you were doing when it happened. The two things that make a problem findable are the device (iPhone 15, Pixel 8) and what you expected instead.
A screenshot is worth more than a description. If the app crashed it has already sent a crash report on its own, so roughly when it happened is usually enough to find it.
A figure on the list looks wrong
Every quantity comes from a published source, and every page that shows one names the authority it came from and links the document. The item pages under Varor also quote the source's own wording of the figure, so you can check the arithmetic rather than take it on trust.
Some figures are marked as calculated. Those are cases where the authority published one number covering several items, and the app split it evenly rather than leaving the individual items blank. The marker is there so that split is never mistaken for something an authority wrote.
If a figure still looks wrong against the source, write to hello@mysupplyshelf.com with the item and the document you are reading. That is a data fix, and it lands in the app and on this site together.
An item is not on the list
The catalogue is wider than any one country’s list, so plenty of items in it are not counted towards a score. Not counted means exactly that: the score follows the list published for your country, and everything else you track sits alongside it.
You can add anything to your own shelf by name, whether or not the catalogue knows it. Nothing added by name is second class.
The barcode scan
The scan reads the barcode and looks the product up. A creased or curved label defeats it; a second try, straight on and closer, usually reads.
A product the lookup does not know can be added by hand. The days-of-supply figure needs the litres or the calories from the barcode data, so an item added by hand still counts as present without contributing to that number, and the app says so rather than guessing at it.
Deleting your account
Deletion lives on this site: sign in on the delete account page and press the button there. It runs while you wait and it cannot be undone.
It removes your shelf, your batches and your household settings. The sign-in is shared with the other shelf apps, and deleting here leaves those shelves alone; the sign-in itself goes only once no shelf app holds anything of yours.
If you cannot get into the account, write to hello@mysupplyshelf.com from the address you signed up with and ask for deletion.
